Scotts line is brand new and includes soils, fertilizers, and even grass seeds that require less water. Safer is a trusted name that is known across the world. UW Continuing Education Spring 2009

Whether you are a gardening guru or you can’t seem to acquire a green thumb, the knowledge you will take away from this class will prove invaluable. Learn how you can take steps toward making your garden and landscape more ecofriendly. Course will cover vegetable gardening, turf management, pest and disease control, fertilizing, and composting, among other topics. Xeriscaping (landscaping in ways that do not require supplemental irrigation) will be covered. Instructor Gwen Condon, owner of Garden Gate Nursery, has been in the garden center business since 1995. She is a graduate of the UW–Madison School of Agriculture, a member of the Garden Centers of America and serves as a garden center consultant.
